ALL ON STAGE
The ‘ALL ON STAGE Fashion Show’, presenting the collections developed by students at the School of Fashion and Jewellery, is part of a broader range of activities launched by the Academy of Fine Arts in Catanzaro through the “PERFORMING” and “Settimana Situazionista” programmes, supported by PNRR funds.
Precisely because these events focus on performance, spontaneous action and social commitment to the local area, “ALL ON STAGE” aims to experiment with an approach that goes beyond the traditional fashion show.
Using the stage of the Politeama, one of the city's most distinguished cultural venues, “ALL ON STAGE” aims to be an invitation to everyone to take centre stage, become protagonists, stand on the same level and learn about the creative process behind the creation of a fashion and accessories collection. The show, therefore, will not focus on the presentation of clothes and jewellery, but will also shine the spotlight on the different stages of developing a collection: research, design, prototyping, through to the creation of the final models and promotion through images and text.
The protagonists of this presentation are the students of the Academy, the non-professional models chosen through street casting, the city of Catanzaro and its surroundings captured by Giacomo Costa's lens, the sounds designed by Classic Mode (Manuel Maruca) and, above all, the entire audience.
Everything on stage and everyone on stage!
Together to celebrate creativity, innovative ideas and the revival of traditional techniques, and above all, the commitment of young people to their local area and their desire to be open, inclusive, socially aware and environmentally responsible.
For the first time, the Academy of Fine Arts in Catanzaro wants to build a bridge between the two dimensions, education and professional life, by inviting professionals from the sector to be part of the jury beside Virgilio Piccari, director of the Catanzaro Fine Arts Academy: Ivana Conte, director of the ILA - International Luxury Academy, and Giulia Massarenti, PR for emerging brands, who will award two prizes: IMAGINARY and HANDCRAFT.
The award winners will have the opportunity to travel to Milan and Rome to attend events and experience the fashion world firsthand.
